Today is the official 50th anniversary celebration of the first working laser, on May 16, 1960.

LaserFest (which Microvision has been supporting since January 2010), is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the laser, emphasizes the laser’s impact throughout history and highlights its potential for the future. Through a series of events and programs, LaserFest is traveling the globe to showcase the prominence of the laser in today’s world.  This week, May 16-21,  the LaserFest team is at  CLEO/QELS: 2010, highlighting how lasers support thousands of applications in our everyday life…including the SHOWWX by Microvision.

Happy Birthday to the Laser!
