The MicroVision PicoP® display technology is a patented solution that displays images from a tiny projector (pico projector) with a unique laser scan beam methodology that uses a single beam of light to project still or moving images. The picture is built pixel by pixel by combining modulated red, green and blue laser light sources that are directed by a MEMS scanning mirror. MicroVision's proprietary algorithms control the process and the resulting HD projected image is always in focus with a wide gamut of pure, bright colors. The technology has proven to be an excellent source of bright, clear images for Head Up Displays in cars and airplanes and as a tiny projector that can be the base of an accessory projector or be embedded directly in mobile devices. Beyond that, the MicroVision advantage extends to advanced applications that allow for an immersive, augmented reality experience. Both a touch interaction feature and 3D capability enhance the opportunity for OEMs to develop products across a wide array of platforms from mobile communications and computing devices to gaming consoles or wearable glasses or headsets.
